Apotropaic Series: The Sator Square, first seen in the ruins of Pompeii, was said to extinguish flames, ward off hexes, and was able to remove fevers and fatigue. It's a double palindrome thought to confuse demons, and was inscribed on utensils, drinking vessels, and above doorways in Rome. Scholars think it translates to "The sower Arepo works for mastery by turning the wheel". May it confuse your demons.
