Who is Xayn?
Xayn (they/them) is a multi-disciplined creative who was born in San Diego, California. The child of an Indo-Kenyan migrant and a Mexican mother, their love of art stemmed from a vibrant and rich childhood filled with color, craft, and culture - but also from the hardships of mental illness and trauma. They are passionate about the documentation, preservation, and restoration of arts and culture, especially locally.
About their work
They explore various mediums in unconventional ways, and often incorporate darker themes in their work. Their work is a reflection of their psyche at the time of creation - art is a means of serious catharsis for them.
